Law Offices of Steven R. Young is seeking experienced attorneys to join our attorneys team. The Law Offices of Steven R. Young is a last minute’s trial law firm specialized in complex business litigation and plaintiff’s employment litigation. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced litigation attorney with over 5 years’ experience. The successful candidate will be a self-started, have the ability to work independently and with others.
Compensation:$150,000+
Responsibilities:- Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
- Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
- Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
- Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
- Conducting witness interviews
- Preparing pleadings
- Preparing and responding to discovery
- Court appearances
- Conducting depositions
- Conducting legal research
- Communicating with clients
- Taking and defending depositions
- Preparing for and attending trials and arbitration
- Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
- Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis)
- Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
- Ability to use Microsoft Office is required
- Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- over 5 years of hands-on litigation experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, writing, and research skills.
- Trial experience is a plus.
