Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled SEC Reporting Manager to join a rapidly growing, Publicly Traded organization. The company is well funded with a diversified portfolio of products and services including tech, financial services, and consumer goods.

Candidates must have Public Accounting experience with a National CPA Firm with SEC clients.

Salary: $150K-$160K + Bonus + Equity & Excellent Benefits

SEC Reporting Manager Responsibilities:
- Prepare and File SEC Reports: Lead the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual reports (10-Q, 10-K and 8-K) with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and guidelines in all financial disclosures.
- Research and Interpret Accounting Guidance: Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations. Conduct research on complex accounting issues and provide guidance on compliance.
- Draft Technical Accounting Memos: Develop detailed technical accounting memos to document accounting policies and decisions. Communicate and explain accounting treatments to internal stakeholders.
- Manage Equity Accounting and Stock-Based Compensation: Oversee the accounting for equity transactions, including stock-based compensation plans. Ensure accurate recording and reporting of stock-based compensation expenses.
- Stay Updated on ASC 606, ASC 718, and ASC 326 Requirements: Interpret and apply the guidelines of ASC 606 (revenue recognition), ASC 718 (stock compensation), and ASC 326 (credit losses) in financial reporting. Implement changes in accounting practices as per the updated standards.
- Coordinate with Internal and External Stakeholders: Collaborate with finance, legal, and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Communicate financial disclosures and accounting treatments to key stakeholders.
- Ensure Compliance and Accuracy: Maintain a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX controls. Review financial statements and disclosures for accuracy and compliance with regulations.

SEC Reporting Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
- Public Accounting experience with a National CPA firm with SEC clients or a combination of Public Accounting and Public company experience in an SEC reporting role
- 6+ years of progressive SEC reporting experience
- Technical accounting expertise
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and to hit deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive team attitude
