Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are urgently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day transactions, and ensuring that financial operations run smoothly. This role is essential to our organizations financial health and requires a high level of accuracy, integrity, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record Transactions: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile Accounts: Regularly reconcile bank statements and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage Invoices: Process and track invoices, ensuring timely payments and proper documentation.
- Budgeting: Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial information and analysis.
- Document Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Vendor and Client Communication: Manage relationships with vendors and clients, addressing any financial queries or issues promptly.
- Software Utilization: Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Certifications: Bookkeeping certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.
