Your Role: As a Mortgage Loan Officer for outside sales efforts, you will be instrumental in driving our home loan business. You’ll:

  • Build and Foster Relationships: Actively seek out and develop relationships with third-party sources such as real estate agents, contractors, home builders, financial planners, and other referral partners to drive new home loan business.
  • Promote Our Brand: Represent Orange County's Credit Union at industry events, seminars, meetups, and community functions to educate potential members and build your book of business.
  • Ensure Smooth Loan Closings: Act as a liaison between the member, real estate agents, and our internal teams to ensure a seamless and successful loan closing experience.
  • Champion Our Values: Educate the market on our advantages and value propositions, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: At least one (1) year of relevant experience in home financing origination, with a solid understanding of modern and effective selling skills. And preferably one (1) year of outside sales experience.
  • Licensing & Knowledge: Successfully registered with the NMLS as a Mortgage Loan Officer, with thorough knowledge of mortgage lending federal and state laws, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines, and loan origination/automated underwriting systems.
  • Sales Savvy: Strong presentation and selling skills, with experience in building relationships with real estate agents, businesses, and other referral sources.
  • Community Focused: Passionate about serving the community and educating consumers through home finance seminars and local events.
  • Integrity: Willingness to undergo thorough background checks, credit checks, and drug screening.

  • Unlimited Earning Potential: We’re offering you the freedom to drive your income through your success. This role has a base pay, which is California’s minimum wage requirement, currently $16.00 per hour AND a monthly bonus incentive earned from Closed Loans you secure. First mortgage originations only.
