Develop and execute automation solutions for the modernization and new installation of Level 1 control systems for coating equipment on galvanizing lines.

What you'll do
- Develop and implement PLC based automation control systems that include motion control, advanced sensors, VFD drives, and actuators
- Support existing installed systems
- Perform Level 1 control system programming based on the function descriptions and mechanical and pneumatic layouts
- Complete sophisticated assignments requiring development of new and/or improved engineering techniques and procedures
- Interface and communicate with local project team (project managers, engineers, support personnel) and internal experts as well as customers and suppliers to provide engineering solutions to technical issues and project-related matters
- Conduct integrated testing and simulation of entire system before delivery to the end customer
- Perform on site commissioning and training as required
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Experience in automation and/or automation practices
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell RSloigx5000 preferred
- Experience with WinCC and Wonderware InTouch HMI systems preferred
- Demonstrates ability to apply engineering principles to the solution of design problems
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Be willing to travel to support the project work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent computer skills
