The Opportunity:

Visa is seeking a Senior Director of Facilities for our HighLands Ranch Colorado Data center. This is a senior management position responsible for the vision, performance, communications, and successful management of the Facilities department.

 

The Work itself:

· Lead the Visa Highlands Ranch Data Center Facilities Department. This entails all maintenance activities, facility operations and strategic solutions to obtain Visa’s business goals.

· Design, engineering, construction and furnishing of all facility and Visa projects.

· Update leadership on progress towards departmental objectives.

· Maintains facility documentation system consistent with policies and SOPs

· Manages relationship with Corporate Real Estate on strategic objectives

· Continually promotes outstanding service and mentors’ staff to implement excellent client services

· Coordinates with Global Safety and Security on facilities safety and security issues as needed or required

· Oversees third-party services providers supporting all facility activities

· Undertakes internal project assignments and special initiatives, as appropriate

· Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations

· Coordinates communications about Facilities in coordination with Visa’ communications teams

 

Essential Functions

 

· The Sr Director of facilities is responsible for the direction in overall evaluation, selection, installation and maintenance of environmental systems to include, but not limited to: Electrical Systems, Mechanical Systems, Fire Detection and suppression systems, Building Management System (BMS) for energy and environmental controls, and emergency backup systems.

· Manage service delivery organizations to ensure contracted service level agreements and key performance indicators are met or exceeded.

· The creation of standard practices for the installation, repair and maintenance of critical facility electrical and/or mechanical systems and lead implementation.

· Manage operational budget for the data center.

· Provide training and guidance to staff within the department, to improve understanding of facilities and environmental systems, operation and controls.

· Analyze data and identify trends with facility issues to determine root cause and take appropriate action.

· Management of Standards such as ITIL, BICSI, OSHA, TIA/EIA, etc

· Recommends and directs cross regional teams in the implementation of process/procedure improvements to meet dynamic business and operational needs

· Provides design criteria and validates final engineering design, installation, modification and maintenance of information systems infrastructure equipment to meet Visa availability requirements.

· Ensure all Visa and customer audit requirements are met.

· Performs complex design activities integrating multiple technologies to ensure IT systems hardware environment meets or exceeds manufacturing requirements.

· Evaluates vendor proposals for purchase of facilities infrastructure equipment and technical services.

· Prepare short and long-range plans for facilities infrastructure systems maintenance and development plans, and designs changes to the capacity and configuration of facilities infrastructure systems.

· Providing managerial leadership to a team of senior mechanical, electrical and shift engineers. Managing goals, processes and performance initiatives that align with Visa Inc.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

· 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

· 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
· Minimum 5 years of operations management experience supporting Data Center critical Infrastructure.
· Ability to solve all facets of extensive complex, multi-faceted managerial and operational issues which require extensive knowledge, varied experiences, access to multiple talent/resources and independent judgment.
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings
· Strong organizational and management skills and demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple cross-functional teams and complex projects.
· Strong quantitative, numeric, analytical, project management and decision-making skills
· Demonstrated ability to solve all facets of extensive complex, multi-faceted managerial and operational issues which require extensive knowledge, varied experiences, access to multiple talent/resources and independent judgment.
· Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, vision, and management of assigned team, , resources, and quality results, expand business efforts as appropriate
· Demonstrated ability to lead corporate-wide initiatives.
· Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity.
· Strong quantitative, numeric, analytical, project management and decision-making skills
· Manage annual expense and capitol project budgets.



Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 154,500.00 to 241,450.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
