Job Summary: As an Electrician, you will utilize your extensive knowledge and experience gained during your military service to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment. Your technical proficiency, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will ensure the efficient operation and compliance of electrical systems. This position is open to veterans with experience in electrical work or related fields.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, following local electrical codes and regulations.
  2. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to determine the layout, location, and configuration of electrical systems.
  3. Perform electrical installations, including wiring, conduit bending, panel upgrades, lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
  4. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, using testing devices and diagnostic techniques to identify the root cause of the problem.
  5. Repair or replace defective electrical components, such as wires, switches, outlets, and circuit breakers, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  6. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  7. Collaborate with clients and provide expert advice on electrical system upgrades, energy efficiency measures, and electrical safety.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and follow industry standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  9. Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed, including service reports, parts used, and time spent.
  10. Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical technology through continuous learning and training opportunities.

Requirements:

  1. Military veteran with experience in electrical work or related fields.
  2. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, acquired through military training and experience.
  3. Proficiency in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  4. Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety procedures.
  5. Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
  7. Ability to use testing devices and diagnostic tools to identify electrical problems efficiently.
  8. Solid understanding of electrical circuitry, wiring methods, and electrical materials and equipment.
  9. Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  10. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  11. Electrical license or certification is preferred.
