Job Description: Warehouseman/Forklift Operator

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Warehouseman/Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Warehouseman/Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to handle materials and products within our warehouse. Your role will also involve various tasks related to inventory management and general warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials and products in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Safely stack materials and products on pallets or in designated storage areas as per instructions.
3. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all receiving and shipping documents, including maintaining proper inventory records.
4. Inspect and perform routine maintenance on the forklift, reporting any issues or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
5. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including conducting regular cleaning and organizing activities.
6. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, including packaging, labeling, and processing documents.
7. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
8. Responsible for accurately picking and packing customer orders, cross-checking against order forms, and ensuring timely shipment.
9. Operate other warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and dollies as required.
10. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines in the warehouse, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Valid forklift operator certification.
3. Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
4. Excellent knowledge of warehouse safety rules and practices.
5. Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other related software.
6. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
7. Strong attention to detail, with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
10. Experience with order picking and shipping operations is preferred.
