Perform intelligence exercise planning for S4S led and/or supported exercises and wargames.



Skills & Qualifications:

  • Intelligence Exercise planning includes development of the Master Scenario Event List (MSEL), Road to Conflict (RTC), and Training Objectives (TO) in all applicable phases of a Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and wargame planning events. Synchronize and coordinate these intelligence exercise planning activities and products among the Department of Defense (DoD), Allies, and Mission Partners.
  • Participate in exercise and wargame events to include JELC conferences, In Progress Reviews (IPR), and execution, as directed by S4S/S2. Participation will routinely require travel outside of the local area, to include OCONUS locations, with possible travel outside of typical duty hours and on weekends.
  • Participate in Exercise Control Group and/or White Cell activities during execution of exercises and wargames. Participation may require shifts outside of typical duty hours and on weekends.
  • Support exercises to include Tier 1 and 2 JELCs, annually.
  • Support wargames to include 1x USSPACECOM Wargame and 1x STARCOM Wargame, annually.
  • Support development and refinement of the S4S Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) and Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) assessments.
  • Utilize unit readiness tools including assessments, lessons learned, objectives, and requirements to influence exercise and wargame design and intelligence planning. In turn, conduct continuous assessments and lessons learned of exercise and wargame activities contributing to the Commander's assessment of overall unit readiness.
  • Contribute to the development CDR S4S Training Guidance and support the implementation of such guidance. Training guidance includes all associated orders, memorandums, and policies providing the Commander's direction, guidance, and intent for exercises, wargames, and training.
  • Maintain integration with S4S/S2 (and other elements of the Space Intelligence Enterprise, as appropriate) intelligence entities to ensure current and accurate intelligence situational awareness for planning IAW S4S/S2. Integration includes routine attendance (3x a week) at unit Operations & Intelligence (O&I) updates, working groups, operational planning teams (OPT), observations of real world and exercise events, and collaboration with intelligence counterparts.
  • When not actively conducting exercise and wargame related activities, conduct real world intelligence planning activities IAW the S4S/S2. Planning Activities include current intelligence analysis of adversary indications and warnings, support and/or participate in targeting and collections working groups and boards, integration with higher and lower echelon intelligence analysts/planners.
  • Experience in providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations for mission and program challenges.
  • Has the specific skills, knowledge, and comprehension to perform all task functions quickly and accurately without supervision or assistance.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Required Education: BA/BS or MA/MS desired.
  • Member should have formal training in Intelligence Planners course or equivalent or be able to attend within 1 year.

  • Travel: Yes-25%
· Security Clearance: U.S. Citizen, Top Secret with SCI, Eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM), and Special Access Programs (SAP).

In compliance with California's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $160,000 to $175,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
