Shipping Coordinator

Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leader in the HVAC industry, has an opening for an experienced Shipping Coordinator at our corporate office in Bryan, OH.

Scope and Responsibilities:

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for organizing shipments, including scheduling, required paperwork and billing of shipments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and plan the shipment of goods, including scheduling deliveries and organizing loads.
• Coordinate with 3PL partner.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Evaluate and select carriers based on criteria such as cost, reliability, and coverage areas.
• Track shipments in real-time to identify potential delays and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Continuously assess units getting manufactured to maximize logistics planning process to increase inventory turnover.
• Work collaboratively with other departments, such as customer service and sales, to ensure the best possible outcomes for customers.
• Arrange plant transfer shipments.
• Manage shipping of outsourced process shipments.
• Create & provide all necessary shipping documents.
• Able to identify needs and ability to obtain answers and solutions.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/abilities:

• High School diploma required; Associate's degree in business, logistics or related field preferred; or 2-5 years logistics or customer service with logistics planning as part of core job; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
• Computer aptitude (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, AS400)
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend information and ideas presented in writing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
• Being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
