Position Title: Senior Electrical Project Manager - Renewable Energy

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Area (Hybrid)

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager with a strong focus on renewable energy projects, particularly in solar and energy storage systems. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in managing HV substations, PV solar construction, and a background in both renewable and civil engineering. This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects in the rapidly evolving field of renewable energy, with a hybrid work arrangement based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  2. Solar and Storage Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage technologies, including battery storage and grid integration.
  3. HV Substation Management: Oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of high voltage (HV) substations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  4. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication channels throughout the project duration.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project goals are met and expectations are managed.
  6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
  7. Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and safety on project sites.
  8. Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising project quality.
  9. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant regulations, permits, and codes related to renewable energy projects, ensuring full compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes, efficiency, and overall performance.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5-15 years of experience in project management, with a focus on renewable energy projects, particularly solar and energy storage.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing HV substation projects and PV solar construction projects from inception to completion.
  4. Strong understanding of electrical systems, renewable energy technologies, and civil engineering principles.
  5. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams and resolve conflicts effectively.
  6. Proficiency in project management tools and software applications.
  7. Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and permitting processes related to renewable energy projects.
  8. PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
  9. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
