Responsibilities:

1. Laboratory Testing and Analysis:

   • Conduct routine and specialized metallurgical tests on ore samples to assess gold content and other key parameters.
   • Perform analytical procedures using state-of-the-art equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
   • Collaborate with the metallurgical team to interpret test data and recommend process improvements.

2. Process Monitoring and Optimization:

   • Monitor and analyze plant performance to identify opportunities for process optimization.
   • Implement changes and modifications to improve recovery rates and overall efficiency.
   • Work closely with the metallurgical engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve processing issues.

3. Quality Control and Assurance:

   • Implement and maintain quality control protocols to ensure product specifications are met.
   • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to established metallurgical standards.
   • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to continuously improve product quality.

4. Data Management and Reporting:

   • Document and organize metallurgical data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
   • Generate comprehensive reports on metallurgical test results, process improvements, and overall plant performance.
   • Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

5. Safety and Environmental Compliance:

   • Adhere to strict safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the metallurgical team.
   • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices in metallurgical processes.
   • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and incident investigations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Metallurgical Technician in a gold mining environment.
• Familiarity with metallurgical testing methods and instrumentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of process optimization and quality control principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
