Title: Ammonia Supervisor

Location: Canton, OH

Schedule: M-F Looking for an off shift, but Open

Salary: $115K-$125K


Overview: As an Ammonia Supervisor, you will be tasked with overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of ammonia refrigeration systems within the facility. Your role will involve leading a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and optimizing system performance through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • System Monitoring: Conduct daily rounds and checks of the ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure optimal operation and early detection of potential issues.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Lead the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of ammonia refrigeration equipment and associated manufacturing systems. This includes interpreting technical documents such as electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of refrigeration technicians in completing both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks. Provide technical support and training as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the plant maintenance team to ensure the efficient operation of all plant equipment, including production, packaging, and utility systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce standard work procedures and job safety standards, ensuring all maintenance activities comply with industry-specific safety regulations.
  • Manual Labor: Perform and oversee various manual tasks, which may include lifting materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights, often in varying temperature conditions.
  • Additional Duties: Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by management to support the overall maintenance strategy of the facility.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
  • Ability to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingencies.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime as required.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in ammonia refrigeration or equivalent education.
  • Experience with boilers and steam systems.
  • Ability to pass a respiratory fit test.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety standards.
