Position: Receiving Clerk / Parts Clerk

Reports to: Site Maintenance and Reliability Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview: The Receiving Clerk / Parts Clerk is responsible for the efficient handling and management of inventory, including the receipt, inspection, and organization of parts and materials. This role ensures that all incoming shipments are processed accurately and that inventory levels are maintained to support our production and restoration activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of parts, materials, and products.
  • Verify that received items match purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Identify and document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
  • Organize and store parts and materials in designated locations to ensure easy access and inventory control.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and address any discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed records of received goods, including quantities, conditions, and any issues encountered.
  • Prepared and submit reports on inventory levels, damaged goods, and any irregularities in the receiving process.
  • Assist in the preparation of inventory reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve any issues related to deliveries or inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with the warehouse team to ensure the smooth flow of materials to production areas.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure timely and efficient operations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding inventory handling and documentation.
  • Assist with the organization and cleanliness of the receiving area.
  • Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a receiving clerk or inventory management role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
