Mexico. Since its founding in 1995, SITE SANTA FE has presented 11 biennials, more than 90
contemporary art exhibitions, and works by hundreds of emerging and established artists from
around the world. SITE also presents public and educational programs that include
conversations with artists and curators, film screenings, performances, concerts, hands-on
workshops, and collaborations with Santa Fe Public Schools.

Summary
The Audio Visual Technician Assistant reports to the Lead AV Technician and works as needed
with public programs, events and venue rentals to support AV, video recording, and handle
other technology needs as required for an array of diverse presentations at SITE SANTA FE
including talks, performances, dance, and music. The Audio Visual Technician Assistant may be
asked to run the sound board or film tours as well as broadcast programs. This role will involve
weekends and occasional late nights. This position will also apprentice with the Lead AV
Technician to advance AV skill sets within the organization. The Audio Visual Technician
Assistant position will involve lifting, walking, and general basic physical work for event set up
and strike.
Responsibilities
 Support Lead AV Technician with the AV and other technical needs for public programs,
events and venue rentals.
 Support Lead AV Technician on the set-up of equipment to run live-streaming for select
programs, and provide videography or audio production support, when necessary
 Support Video Consultant on video recording of selected public programs for both
archival purposes and rebroadcast.
 Set-up, break down and properly store all AV equipment as dictated by the needs of
each event and communicated by the Lead AV Technician
 With event/program staff, help with overall event setup and breakdown as relates to
each event. This may include moving stage, chairs and other event-related furniture

 When necessary, communicate with presenters, clients and contractors on pre-
production logistics
 Participate in occasional department meetings, and provide production updates to
museum staff.
 Maintain and foster professional working relationships with anyone invited into, renting or
contracted to work in SITE’s events spaces.
Qualifications
 At least 2 years of experience working in Audio Visual, Theatre, Broadcast, Information
Technology, Film, or related fields.
 At least 1 year of experience working in a production setting.
 Strong organizational skills, and a strong attention to detail.
 Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate well with others.
 Computer literacy and competency in the Google and MS Office suites.
 Ability to work collaboratively with staff and maintain a high degree of professionalism in
a dynamic and creative setting.
