ABOUT THIS SOCIAL WORK POSITION

As a Peer Counselor - Support Specialist, you forge strong connections and offer high-quality, personalized support to veterans and people experiencing homelessness. You inspire change and transformation, working with clients to find the most appropriate services for their individual needs. After finding the right resources, you help clients apply for benefits and take the proper steps to elevate their well-being

Would you excel in this position? Here's what you need:

  • Knowledge of common issues people experiencing homelessness deal with
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to help develop new resources for people experiencing homelessness
  • Collaborative spirit and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Personal experience with homelessness would be preferred. Veterans are warmly welcomed and encouraged to apply
