Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Expertise:
    • Proficient in installing a variety of car stereos and navigation systems.
    • In-depth knowledge of different car audio and navigation technologies.
  1. Experience:
    • Previous experience in car audio and navigation system installation.
    • Familiarity with a range of vehicle makes and models.
  1. Electronics Skills:
    • Strong understanding of automotive electronics.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electronic issues.
  1. Mechanical Aptitude:
    • Skilled in working with tools and performing hands-on mechanical tasks.
    • Comfortable disassembling and reassembling vehicle components.
  1. Attention to Detail:
    • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure precise installation.
    • Ability to follow technical diagrams and instructions.
  1. Customer Service:
    • Good communication skills for interacting with customers.
    • Ability to explain features and functions of installed systems to customers.
  1. Time Management:
    • Efficient time management skills to complete installations within set timeframes.
    • Ability to handle multiple installations in a day.
  1. Knowledge of Car Models:
    • Familiarity with a wide range of car makes and models.
    • Awareness of specific challenges and requirements for different vehicles.
  1. Up-to-Date with Technology:
    • Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in car audio and navigation technology.
    • Willingness to undergo training on new products and systems.
  1. Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during installations.
    • Creative problem-solving to address unique challenges.
  1. Adherence to Safety Standards:
    • Knowledge of safety protocols when working with electronics and vehicles.
    • Commitment to ensuring installations meet safety standards.
  1. Detail-Oriented Wiring Skills:
    • Proficiency in wiring and cable management to ensure a clean and organized installation.
    • Knowledge of soldering and crimping techniques.
  1. Teamwork:
    • Ability to collaborate with other team members, especially in a dealership or automotive service environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience in retail sales.
  • Basic computer and social media skills are required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and employees.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of handling various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License, State Vehicle Inspector Certification, and Manufacturer Training.
  • Completion of a background check and drug screening.
