Interim Program Manager

Hours: Between the hours of 8:00 - 5:00, Monday - Friday, 20 hours per week
Funding period: August 15, 2024 - January 10, 2025
The part-time, interim Community Health Manager provides oversight to the Community Health department with direct supervision of the Community Health Worker and Adolescent Health Programs. The Manager will provide support to program supervisors, department staff, and other Leadership Team members as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide executive leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluation/monitoring programs and services in the Community Health department in addition to agency strategic goal priorities
- Assess personell and program needs for assigned programs and maintain department budgetary information alongside supervisors and staff
- Serve as liaison to community on issues affecting public health programs especially related to social determinants of health, diversity, equity and inclusion
- Assist grant writer and other staff in the development of new grant opportunities, applications, and renewals as needed
Education/Experience: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in nursing, social work, psychology, public health or human services plus three years of experience in a related program; or a master's degree in public health, and one year of experience in a related program.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of public health, administration, personnel, grants, budgeting, personnel dynamics and supervision
- Ability to interpret and understand case management programs
- Possess ability to communicate effectively wit departmental staff and community agencies both orally and in writing
- Must be able to review and evaluate the effectiveness of assigned programs; plan, assign, and coordinate the work of employees
