System Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Provides application development services typically in a defined project.
  • Develops requirements and supplemental specifications for new applications or analyzes change requests/enhancements in existing applications.
  • Collaborates closely with the customer/partner/business areas to identify application needs, project specifications, business case development and cost sheet analysis.
  • Responsible for verification that the delivered application code meets the customer needs based on the specifications, ensuring minimal defects in both UAT and production.
  • Accountable for identification and documentation of risks, defects, and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for assisting in the resolution of risks, defects, and issues.
  • For smaller projects or initiatives, may be accountable for project schedule.
  • Accountable for providing project status back to the appropriate management group or customer, release co-coordinator, and/or various PMO groups.
  • Responsible for the configuration, monitoring and maintenance of all infrastructure services, including but not limited to web services, Active Directory, anti-virus management, patch management and software deployment.
  • This position is responsible for all security related services, including but not limited to firewalls, routers, and network switches to ensure CRMC security standards are enforced.
  • Is responsible for the establishment, management, and maintenance of the technical environment with the objective of maximizing the reliability and efficiency of hardware and software resources.
  • Performs diagnostic procedures for the purpose of isolating, identifying, and resolving problems/errors associated with networking and system performance.
  • Analyzes reports and develops recommendations for new or replacement hardware/software needs to achieve optimum efficiency of personnel and equipment.
  • Responsible for providing application support as needed to include, but not limited to, initial application configuration, application updates, documentation, and system troubleshooting.
  • Serves as technical advisor to assigned CRMC departments, affiliate groups, and physician offices offering guidance and recommendations that adhere to CRMC standards.
  • Performs HL7 interface maintenance to include, but not limited to, initial interface configuration, interface modifications, vendor communications, documentation and troubleshooting.
  • Performs enterprise server maintenance in an Active Directory environment to include, but not limited to system updates, documentation, and system troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for giving guidance and direction, as well as informal instruction to other operations staff.
  • Aids IT Director in the training of new staff. Serves as level III support to all IT staff.
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of Information Technology relating Healthcare using this knowledge to improve and advance CRMC's systems.

OVERVIEW

B. Education

  • Four years of college or two years of college and two years of technical training in a computer related field such as:
    • Computer Science
    • Information Science
    • Management Information Systems
    • Computer Operations

C. Licensure

  • N/A

D. Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years working in SQL Server, MySQL, and Report Server
  • At least 3-4 years of networking design and configuration
  • At least 3-4 years of job-related experience in Healthcare Information Technology.
  • At least 1-2 years of HL7 coding and configuration.
  • At least 3-4 years of programming experience in JavaScript, TCL Script

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  • Performs network switch maintenance to include initial configurations, software updates, port modifications and documentation.
  • Ensure appropriate security settings are assigned and maintained throughout the CRMC LAN/WAN, to include but not limited to firewalls, network switches, host systems (Windows, Unix, etc) and wireless networks.
  • Responsible for providing application support as needed to include, but not limited to, initial application configuration, application updates, documentation, and system troubleshooting.
  • Serves as technical advisor to assigned CRMC departments, affiliate groups, and physician offices offering guidance and recommendations that adhere to CRMC standards.
  • Performs HL7 interface maintenance to include, but not limited to, initial interface configuration, interface modifications, vendor communications, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Performs enterprise server maintenance in an Active Directory environment to include, but not limited to, initial server configuration, system updates, documentation, and system troubleshooting. Servers supported include, but not limited to, File servers, Exchange servers, SQL servers and Application servers.
  • Assist with enterprise backups to ensure daily backups are performed and completed successfully.
  • Responsible for giving guidance and direction, as well as informal instruction to other operations staff. Aids IT Director in the training of new staff. Serves as level III support to all IT staff.
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of Information Technology as it relates to Healthcare and uses this knowledge to improve and advance the technology and systems within CRMC.
