Overview
A high-growth business in Provo, Utah, seeks a results-oriented M&A Director (Due Diligence) to play a pivotal role in driving growth through strategic acquisitions. This person will spearhead the execution of their acquisition strategy. This crucial role involves identifying suitable companies, conducting comprehensive due diligence to analyze financial viability, and overseeing transactions to successful closures. By presenting insightful recommendations to the finance team, you'll ensure informed decision-making throughout the M&A process.
Responsibilities
- Lead Comprehensive Due Diligence: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, partner with external firms on quality of earnings reports, and collaborate with legal counsel to ensure sound business decisions.
- Drive Informed Investment Strategies: Provide regular updates on the acquisition pipeline, present investment recommendations, and lead discussions with the Investment Committee and Executive Acquisition Committee.
- Manage Acquisition Process & Pipeline: Oversee due diligence efforts, develop pro forma financial models with internal teams, and manage multiple acquisition opportunities concurrently to achieve annual targets.
- Secure Investment Approval: Develop valuation models and deliver compelling presentations to the board to secure support for strategic acquisitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees in finance or business are beneficial.
- 8+ years of M&A experience, preferably in transaction services or lead advisory roles.
- Proven track record of successfully managing M&A processes from initiation to completion.
- Strong financial modeling, analysis, and valuation skills with a deep understanding of healthcare industry metrics.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with all levels, including C-suite executives, legal counsel, and internal teams.
- Team player with a collaborative and problem-solving approach, adept at navigating complex situations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, estimated at around 15%.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to work beyond standard business hours when necessary.
