About the Position

Junior/Entry level in Continuous Improvement. Key to success in this position is the ability to work within the sites/networks at all levels utilizing a very "hands on" approach to creating value and buy-in as the coach and mentor for the Kenco Operating System (KOS). For Kenco, the ultimate goal when pursuing the Kenco Operating System model is cultural transformation through the integration of operational excellence principles across the enterprise and its value streams to create a complete, systemic view, leading to consistent achievement of results.

Functions

  • Spend a majority of your workday at the Gemba as a coach/mentor with close supervision
  • Partner closely with site leadership to enable sites to achieve KOS maturity targets
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), a.k.a., Standard Work Procedures
  • Document and train employees on SOPs
  • Track value (VCI) created by improved process methods and operating performance
  • Ensure Work Measurement systems are effective
  • Align site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive improvement
  • Coach/mentor proper application of Lean Six Sigma tools ensuring broad employee engagement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical associate preferred, in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing) or 2 years of experience in a Lean environment.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a Lean environment.
  • Lean Bronze certification preferred (ASQ,SME)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Experience with change management development and execution
  • Demonstrated ability in applying Lean Six Sigma process improvement methods with evidence of results
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze data to identify trends, performance results, and opportunities for improvement
