Direct Counsel is seeking talented attorneys to work remotely/hybrid. We are adding qualified and talented attorneys to meet the increasing demands of our clients. The work will be for regional, national, and global clients providing practical, innovative, and cost-effective solutions in the eDiscovery, information governance, and data privacy service markets.

Candidates should have five (5) years of experience practicing law and a demonstrated interest in eDiscovery, information governance, and privacy. We are looking for strong candidates who have:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least five (5) years of experience with drafting briefs, motions, and pleadings, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, witness interviews, drafting discovery requests, and related litigation experience.
  • Admission to the bar in a least one of the following jurisdictions: California, Illinois, Minnesota, Texas, Virginia, Washington, DC

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent, effective, and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional presentation, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience working in and with remote teams.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to manage a fast-paced workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues.
  • The motivation to learn and understand technology and findings, effectively discuss those issues with technically skilled individuals, and convey findings for people without technology experience.
  • Good judgment and the ability to apply legal knowledge to problem solve by developing practical business solutions.
  • The commitment and interpersonal skills to succeed in a collaborative and team environment.
