Looking for a Senior Investment Content Writer to manage the creation of investment content and marketing materials that educate individual investors, financial advisors, and institutional investors about investing in gold and specifically gold exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, writing, and editing of relevant long-form investment content and short-form promotional content to educate retail, intermediary, and institutional investors about investing in gold and specifically gold exchange-traded funds. Additionally, you will partner with research, product, and marketing teams to support relevant marketing promotions and campaigns across web, social, and other channels.

You are a seasoned self-starter who excels at working both independently and collaboratively with subject matter experts. You possess a strong investment writing background alongside a content marketing skillset that includes: content planning, content writing, copyediting, web writing, email writing, social writing, and SEO.

As the Senior Investment Content Writer you will:
Participate in gold strategy/brainstorming sessions and manage content projects from ideation to final publication and beyond, working in partnership with the broader marketing organization to identify the best ways to effectively promote content across various marketing channels.
Write, edit, and create compelling content that educates investors and positions the research and expertise of our Gold Strategy team to enhance our credibility as thought leader in the gold investing and ETF space
Produce content across multiple formats, including: articles, webinars, videos, podcasts, whitepapers, research reports, presentations, web pages, emails, and social posts.
Update and comply existing content prior to expiration. As data updates are made, assess whether the story and framing also need updating.
Collaborate with brand, design, UX, and production teams to ensure copy and design work together to drive customer engagement. This includes working closely with design to source, select, and create design elements.
Optimize content for customer engagement, applying digital engagement best practices.
Coordinate with compliance and legal teams on content reviews to ensure content is approved for use with its intended audience.
Work closely with the production and digital publishing teams to properly publish, maintain, and promote content across the website.

These skills will help you succeed in this role:
Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably with a major in marketing, business, communications, or finance; commodities and/or gold investment writing or research experience preferred
10-15+ years of relevant investment writing and/or financial marketing communications experience; a thorough understanding of financial markets and investing concepts; ETF know-how preferred
Experience writing and working within a regulated industry
Experience with both long- and short-form writing and optimizing copy for different marketing channels and formats
Strategic thinker and adept interviewer, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and relationship management skills
Results-oriented with a proven track record of delivering projects

  • This role will be supporting the Gold ETF Campaign for State Street Global Advisors, assisting the Strategy and Research team on publishing Gold investing and Gold ETF material. This role will also support ongoing content updates with a global lens, copywriting, and proofreading.

  • Phone screen, 2-3 rounds of interviews. We're hoping for candidates to submit 2-3 content samples (1 HTML article, social post & email example), and a writing and proof reading test will be administered

  • 9-5PM EST. Fully remote.

What is the day to day of the person going to look like? Please be specific.

  • The main day-to-day for this role will be collaborating with the Gold Strategy Team to write and edit articles, whitepapers, and collateral related to Gold investing, Gold ETFs, and their portfolio benefits.
  • This role will also be responsible for reviewing all Marketing collateral for the Gold Marketing Team, including social media posts, emails, Public Relations media briefs, advertising creative, website copy, scripts/transcripts, and paid search ads.
  • Additional responsibilities include managing the content calendar for gold marketing campaigns and entering content pieces through our workflow and Compliance review systems.
