Loveland, United States ClearShift Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

Tired of being put through the grinder of a typical shop? Come to work for a company that appreciates you for who you are and doesn’t see you as another number.

Monday-Friday. No weekends. No nights.

Founded in 2017, ClearShift set out to change the car buying experience and chart a new path in the automotive industry. And it’s working. The only way we are a part of the automotive industry is that our business deals in cars. We are in the people business.

We’re experiencing tremendous growth; and looking to expand the best team we’ve ever been a part of, in an effort to better serve the people that we get to connect with on a daily basis.

What will a C-Level Technician do?

  • Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
  • Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
  • Performs routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups.
  • Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
  • Performs further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
  • Perform oil changes to manufacturer specifications.
  • Top off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid.
  • Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues.
  • Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications.
  • Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries.
  • Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing.
  • Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles’ issues.
  • Creating detailed service reports based on inspection findings and document them for customer review.
  • Verify completed maintenance and/or repairs prior to releasing the vehicle to the customer.
  • Complete continuing education program as directed by the company.
  • Maintains compliance with all OSHA safety standards and procedures.
  • Model and demonstrate ClearShift Core Values in all aspects of the role.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What makes someone a great fit for the role?

  • At least two years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician.
  • ASE certification a plus
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Team-oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Computer and smartphone skills.

Core Values:

ClearShift operates under the Core Values of Servanthood, Excellence, and Transparency. All employees are expected to demonstrate and model the Core Values in all aspects of their duties and responsibilities and failure to do so will be disciplined as a failure to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role.

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive compensation package starting between $20.00-25.00 per hour.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance
  • Growth potential
  • Strong team positive company culture

What makes our team different? Our team is rooted in service. Having a heart for service is the core of our success and the success of our team and company grows from that base. Our customers come to us because they want to buy a car, we don’t need to sell them a car. The goal is to move customers from wanting to buy a car to driving away in a new car as simple and seamless as possible.

Our team works alongside the owners and leaders that built the company daily. Nobody is ever asked to do something that the owners and leaders would not or have not done themselves. The voice and opinions of our team are heard and matter daily.

Caution: We run hard and fast....if something isn't working we change it quickly. Flexibility is our most rigid policy.
