Description of the role:

The Banquet Houseperson at The Verve Hotel - Boston Natick is responsible for setting up function rooms according to event specifications. They assist in the coordination and execution of banquet events, ensuring that all areas are clean, well-stocked, and presentable. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Set up tables, chairs, and other event equipment as per the event requirements
• Arrange table settings, linens, centerpieces, and decorations
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of food and beverages
• Ensure a clean and organized banquet area before, during, and after events
• Provide excellent customer service to guests and address any inquiries or issues
• Clean and maintain banquet equipment, including polishing silverware and glassware
• Collaborate with banquet staff and other departments to ensure smooth event operations

Requirements:

• Prior experience in banquet setup or related roles is preferred
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Flexibility in working shifts, including weekends and holidays
