Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of toddlers (ages 15-24 months)
  • Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
  • Provides open and on-going communication with parents
  • Plans and implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials
  • Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration
  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director
  • Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
  • Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times
  • Ability to work the available hours of 7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Our ideal candidate has the following:
  • A solid commitment to building positive relationships with staff, families, and the community.
  • CDA, Associate, Bachelor, or Master's degree in ECE or related field required, or partial college completion is also considered.
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • A passion for early childhood education and a vision of excellence.
