Job Title: Senior Data Designer With Snowflake And Data Modeler

Overview:
The Senior Data Designer will focus on data modeling and design to enhance the quality of software products. They will work closely with development teams, especially within financial services, to improve application-specific data models, optimizing data throughput and processing while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Position:

  • Perform hands-on data design, including Logical, Conceptual, and Ontological models.
  • Maintain and update data models in modeling environments.
  • Capture and document data models from existing databases.
  • Publish conceptual and logical models for broader accessibility.
  • Collaborate with Application Development and DBA teams to create and maintain various data models.
  • Present data designs to the Data Review Board (DRB) for approval.
  • Generate and validate DDL within the database.
  • Identify opportunities for data reuse and reduce redundancy.
  • Support MIS reporting improvements in collaboration with DTCC.
  • Participate in the de-normalization process and ensure business rules are implemented.
  • Ensure version control and compliance with legal requirements.

Requirement Qualifications:

  • 6-7+ years of data design experience, focusing on Logical and Conceptual Data Models.
  • Experience in the financial services sector, specifically mortgage lending.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake and relevant database technologies.
  • Strong understanding of application design and 2-3 tier views.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, BI tools like Qlik, and regulatory reporting (CAT).
