Position Overview

The Process Technician position is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of process data on the SAP system, and the study and improvement of the manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

  • Implementation, maintenance, and upkeep of SAP routings, allocation rules, and process documentation.
  • Analyze engineering documents to develop master routing for new products.
  • Study time, motion, and methods required for production, and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency.
  • Improve methods and practices to achieve operational improvements in efficiency, quality, delivery, and operating profits.
  • Improve fixtures, jigs, and other small devices to optimize operations methods.
  • Make minor layout revision to improve process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders including Product Engineering, supervisors and production employees to successfully maintain current data and implement improvements.
  • Support Industrial Engineering on new process development and new equipment integration.
  • Support the Business Unit Metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Associate Degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Manufactuing experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment required.
  • Experience in and knowledge of electric motors strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems desired; Prior SAP Experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities required.
