Carry out tasks of carpentry work under the supervision of a qualified tradesman and consistent with apprenticeship level. The Carpenter I position assists with a wide variety of carpentry work such as being a cut man, preparing work areas with materials and tools, handling materials, cleaning work areas and tools. This position directly reports to the Foreman.

ACTIVITIES
- Arrive on time and be prepared to go to work on daily tasks.
- Prepare work areas for daily tasks.
- Assist Foreman/Carpenter II in daily tasks.
- Daily clean-up of work areas.
- Track and turn in all job-related receipts to project superintendent on time.
- Accurately track time and tasks performed on each project.
- Accurately complete and sign timecards by 5:00pm on Saturday.
- Complete OSHA 10 within the first 90 days of employment.
- Attend weekly toolbox talks on jobsites.
- Attend monthly staff meeting at 3:30PM on Thursdays.
- Observe and learn how to perform carpentry tasks from Foreman/Carpenter II.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. 2+ years’ experience working as a Carpenter on commercial construction projects or related field.
2. Must have a basic understanding of carpentry or related field.
3. Must have knowledge of basic hand/power tools.
4. Must have basic hand tools.
5. Must have a current and valid United States Driver’s License.
6. Must have competent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Understand material and tool requirements of daily tasks.
