We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team.  As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipeline systems. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain various equipment and tools required for excavation, installation, and repair work
- Possess in-depth knowledge of natural gas pipeline systems, including their components, construction techniques, and safety protocols
- Ability to physically build, install, and maintain underground natural gas pipelines while adhering to industry standards and regulations
- Proficient in driving trucks and trailers to transport materials, equipment, and machinery to and from job sites. CDL license is a plus
- Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance on pipeline systems to ensure proper functionality and safety
- Conduct pressure and leak tests, as well as repairs, on natural gas lines to maintain system integrity
- Perform fusion of plastic pipes, ensuring secure and reliable connections
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and project completion
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Be a team player and understand the job has to get done, so you will do more than operate equipment, when needed

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must live in the area and/or be able to get yourself to and from work daily

- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Must be willing to train in our online, Operator Qualification (OQ) Program, on your own time, to meet federal regulations for being an underground utility provider
- Previous experience working with underground natural gas pipeline systems or similar infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of natural gas pipeline components, construction techniques, and industry regulations
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and tools related to pipeline construction and maintenance
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Relevant certifications and licenses are a plus

- There are times when we have to work Saturdays and overtime. This is a requirement of the job

- Must be able to do heavy lifting
