Job Description

General Summary

Under frequent supervision, the Anesthesia Technician is a multi-skilled individual who assists the anesthesiologist with patient positioning, maintaining and stocking anesthesia inventory and assisting during the intraoperative phase. Patients served include infant through older adult.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to Nurse Manager of Operating Room or designee.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Anesthesia Tech Certification (Preferred)
  • Certification as Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Anesthesia Tech / Licensure / BLS CPR Certification (Required);
  • One year experience as an Anesthesia Technician or equivalent or prior experience as a Patient Care Technician.
