We are seeking an intern to join our dynamic Engineering Department. You will have the opportunity to work alongside engineers and designers to develop electrical and mechanical design solutions to increase machine reliability and performance. We take pride in working with our Interns and transitioning their classroom knowledge to on-the-job experience.

The position is on-site at our Buffalo, NY location, with full-time hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

What You Will Bring to Derrick:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience preferred.
  • Experience with both 2D and 3D CAD software, with a preference for proficiency in Inventor
  • Structural analysis of complex structures
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to difficult problems.
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Must have solid attention to detail.
  • Looking for someone with a willingness to do hands-on work.
  • MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
