As a CNC Machine Operator of the Decimal team, you will contribute to creating quality fabricated machine parts every day. This work plays a critical role in supplying the components used by Lantech's assembly departments to construct Lantech's stretch wrapping machinery, which is used around the world to move essential goods securely and efficiently.
Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:
As a CNC Machine Operator at Lantech you will:
- Operate CNC milling and turning centers using supplied programs.
- Perform CNC setup and part inspection.
- Operate drill presses and band saw as needed.
- Read digital/dial calipers and micrometers.
- Load parts into weld fixtures and perform production MIG welding as needed.
- Communicate with other areas in regard to parts and materials.
- Read blueprints and follow standard work to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
- Stand 9-10 hours per day.
What are We Looking For? (Requirements)
We are looking for someone who:
- Is able to read a tape measure and dial/digital calipers.
- Has the ability to read blueprints
- Has some experience in the operation of CNC mills, lathes, and drill presses in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
- Is able to distinguish between different types of materials.
- Is able to understand metrics and standards.
- Is capable of lifting loads up to 50 lbs.
- Is able to complete basic mathematical operations.
- Has basic computer skills (including Microsoft Outlook).
- Is focused on work with a high commitment to achieving quality and schedule goals
- Is a self-directed individual with good interaction skills
- Is able to self-identify problems and support problem-solving / solutions
- Is detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality, and safety and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Has sustained record of good attendance.
- Has a high aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature, effective use of time, and be capable of adapt to a variety of work environment.
- Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
- Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
- Is willing and able to work overtime to complete projects and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
- Is customer focused with a strong commitment to quality and production schedule.
- Is legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Education & Experience:
- Machining experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with measuring tools is strongly preferred (i.e., micrometer, tape measures).
- Previous experience with Winman is a plus.
- Mechanical or construction background preferred but not required.
- Previous welding experience is a plus.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training from vocational or trade school is a plus.
