The hours vary each week for this client, and the right applicant has to be open to working a mix of shift types in order to reach part-time or full-time employment. You MUST be able to be flexible with scheduling. Your application must include agreeing to this, or it will not be considered.

The tasks include light housekeeping, incontinence care, stand by assist, feeding, transfers, engagement, medication reminders, etc.

There will also be the potential for hours with other clients in the Washtenaw and/or Livingston County Areas.




ComForCare Home Care Washtenaw-Livingston is looking for caregivers, certified nursing assistants (CNA), medical students, and home health aides to help provide clients with care within their home.

Flexible scheduling allows you to work WHEN and WHERE you want No minimum hours are required per week Potential options are full-time, part-time, and contingent.

Starting pay ranges from $15.50 to $17 (firm) and depends on factors like experience, availability, and making a match with a client. This is base pay and there are also potential incentives for picking up last-minute shifts and special cases.

Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide companionship, conversation, and mental engagement.
  • Provide assistance with daily household/personal care management through daily activities to help clients stay independent, and in their own homes.
  • Transportation for clients which includes visits to doctor appointments, and outings.
  • Observe and report changes in the clients physical condition, behavior, or appearance.
  • Provide companionship for the client. This includes accompanying clients on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, assistance with hobbies, etc.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
  • Handle meal planning, preparation and feeding.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  • A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Previous experience as an in-home caregiver, or in senior communities/facilities. At least 2 years of experience is required.
  • A valid drivers license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle. Your application will not be considered without this. Documentation will be required and verified before employment begins.
  • Willingness to go directly to the clients home. Preferences are noted for distance limitations. We service the counties of Washtenaw/Livingston. You will not be required to go outside of the initial preferences given.
  • Willing to run errands, drive clients to appointments, or provide transportation. Mileage is covered at $0.55 per mile.
