We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our team at our Nampa, ID location.
Job Summary:
The AR Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and reconciliation. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoicing: Generate and send accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
- Collections: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, follow up on overdue accounts, and initiate collection efforts as needed.
- Customer Communication: Communicate with customers regarding their accounts, addressing any discrepancies or issues and providing exceptional customer service.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports, including aging reports, and provide regular updates to management.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounts receivable processes and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, finance, and customer service teams to ensure accurate billing and resolve any billing-related issues.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts receivable activities and communications.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including Treqso, SAP, and Docuware is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s or an Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Work Environment This position works in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM with an hour lunch break.
