Manager – Choice Hotel

We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic and hopefully Choice experienced individual to join our Cascades, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member as Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the overall operations and management of our hotel, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of service and hospitality. Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:

  • Assist in overseeing daily hotel operations to ensure a seamless and positive guest experience.
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor and improve service quality, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance overall hotel performance.

Guest Services:

  • Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  • Support the team in creating memorable experiences for guests through personalized service and attention to detail.

Team Leadership:

  • Work closely with department managers to recruit, train, and develop a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Encourage teamwork and collaboration among staff to achieve common goals.

Other Areas:

  • Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-control measures
  • Monitor and pay invoices per month
  • Assist with reviewing night audit packets
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to drive revenue and enhance profitability.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with Choice quality standards and brand guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and functionality throughout the property.

Qualifications:

  • Must Have:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & ability to Multi-task.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent note taking skills to follow up and follow through on tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • Food and Beverage experience is a plus.
  • Choice experience utilizing (Choice Advantage) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality operations, financial management, and guest service principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills (ability to stay composed under in a fast-paced work environment).
  • Proficiency in hotel management software, computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, and emails.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Morning shift
  • Night shift

Work Location: In person

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on your experience.

About cascades mountain resort: Hendersonville (“the city of Four Seasons”) is a historic city located right in the heart of Western North Carolina. The city is home to several tourist attractions including a gem mine, museums with a Tyrannosaurus skull and antique airplanes, main street dating back to the early 19th century and restaurants with painted bears.
