Intern Culinary Innovation

The Culinary Innovation Intern will have a great opportunity to give back to the community. They will immerse themselves in corporate culture, and gain exposure to a different culinary realm that’s moderately known. This role will be predominantly focused on assisting our team with proactive innovation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Identification and analysis of various sweetener alternatives – Testing a variety of sugar substitutes and creating a foundation of learning/findings for developers to reference to.
- Development of a creative menu with scientific techniques and learning/findings acquired throughout the experience.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Required Education
- 3rd or 4th year BS/BA Program in a focus related to Food Science or Culinology, or 2nd year student in a Culinary Degree Program.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Technical curiosity.
- Results oriented.
- Data interpretation skills.
- Food science/culinology or culinary background.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office – Word and Excel.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and follow-through skill sets.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Strong oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with diverse populations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Due to SQF requirements, must be ability to read, write and interpret documents in English such as safety rules.
The base pay rate for this role is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
