El Futuro is currently hiring a Full-time, Bilingual Project Manager to lead the development of a Peer Support Specialist Program tailored to the needs of the Latino community. The Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate the program, ensuring it aligns with El Futuro's mission and values. 

 

This position works in-person in Durham, with flexibility to work remotely on occasion. The typical work schedule is 37.5 hours, working mainly during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm). There will occasional hours in the evenings and/or weekends, and must be available for Friday morning meetings, 9:00-11:00am (mostly virtual).

 

The annual salary for this position starts at $52,000.00.  El Futuro provides employer paid medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, and long-term disability; 403B matching; generous PTO and paid holidays; paid parental leave; and stipend and paid time off for professional development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Manager for Peer Support Program performs a wide range of functions, including, but not limited to the following:


  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop a comprehensive Peer Support Specialist Program that addresses the unique cultural and mental health needs of the Latino community. 
  • Develop a detailed project plan outlining key milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resources required for program development and implementation.  
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communication with stakeholders, including community members, clinicians, peer support specialists, and organizational leadership, to gather input, feedback, and support for the program.  
  • Coordinate the allocation of resources, including budget, staff, and materials, to support program development activities and ensure efficient project execution. 
  • Identify training needs for peer support specialists and develop or coordinate relevant training programs to enhance their skills, knowledge, and cultural competency. 
  • Establish quality assurance measures and evaluation criteria to monitor program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to best practices and ethical standards. 
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, progress and outcomes. Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Cultivate partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote program awareness, participation, and sustainability. 
  • Continuously evaluate program processes and outcomes, soliciting feedback from stakeholders and making adjustments as needed to optimize program impact and effectiveness. 


General Responsibilities of El Futuro Staff:

  • Participate actively in monthly All Staff Meetings.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by following through on tasks, taking initiative, working with the team and identifying solutions.
  • Adhere to affiliate policies and procedures including meetings and training requirements, ensuring punctuality and attendance, and following personnel policies.
  • Play an active role in the continued development of El Futuro’s work via participation in fundraising and other agency-wide activities.
  • Be a team player who is ready to support other duties as assigned, in consultation with your supervisor and priority tasks.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management, preferably in the healthcare or nonprofit sector. 
  • Knowledge of behavioral health issues, peer support models, and culturally responsive practices  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software, such as monday.com. 
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken). 
  • Experience working with the Latino community.
