Job DescriptionStatus: Full-time, benefits-eligible
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with availability to work a few evenings to support resident special events and/or appointments
Pay: $15.30 - $16.15 per hour
Responsibilities
An individual who will transport residents to and from appointments, run miscellaneous errands, perform light maintenance tasks, and support inventory management.
- Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals
- Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values
- Responsible for on-call services, as assigned
- Transport residents to and from appointments and subsequent documentation.
- Maintain transport vehicle with preventative maintenance and report any mechanical or concerns regarding the vehicle that could impact continued utilization
- Perform maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor during down time with transporting.
- Assist maintenance team with environmental services including landscaping, grass cutting and snow removal if transport schedule permits
- Check in all deliveries to loading dock and distribute as needed
- Will attend required meetings as assigned
- Will treat residents, families and other staff with dignity and respect
- Will use proper body mechanics in the performance of all tasks to ensure safe work
- Will perform tasks and operate equipment in which they have been trained
- Performs other duties, as assigned
- Must be 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record with ability to operate transport vehicle in all weather conditions
- Class C Driver's License with a passenger endorsement
- Ability to operate transport vehicle lift as well as general ambulatory support equipment used by passengers (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.)
- Must enjoy resident contact and interaction to support customer service
- Commitment to quality outcomes and services for all individuals
- Ability to relate well to all individuals
- Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions
- Ability to adapt to change
