Position Summary:We are currently looking for a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as a Community Ambassador in the Membership Department. You will play a crucial role in strong connections with our members, ensuring their satisfaction, and fostering a sense of community within the esteemed gem and jewelry industry. The full-time, exempt Community Ambassador role involves member recruitment, retention, engagement, prospect identification, and relationship building to drive membership, advertising, events, and program sales. The ideal candidate is passionate about teamwork, detail-oriented, and eager to apply creative thinking and innovation to their role. This position may be eligible for incentives relating to team initiatives.Local candidates will be eligible for a hybrid schedule. Non-local candidates will be eligible for a fully remote schedule.Responsibilities:Member Recruitment:
  1. Execute the member recruitment process, from prospect identification through active membership.
  2. Develop and implement strategies for membership, advertising, events, and programs to meet revenue goals.
  3. Serve as the primary contact for members, maintaining a pipeline of prospects and managing recruitment cycles from lead generation to closure.
Member Engagement and Support:
  1. Provide exceptional support, guidance, and assistance to both new and existing members.
  2. Act as primary point of contact for members, keeping them informed about updates, events, and opportunities, through various communication channels.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to enhance member engagement and retention.
Operational Excellence:
  1. Process membership applications, renewals, and maintain accurate membership records.
  2. Identify at-risk members and develop personalized strategies to improve satisfaction and renewals.
  3. Collect and analyze member data for continuous improvement.
Brand Representation:
  1. Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and events.
  2. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements to provide valuable information to AGS members.
Reporting and Collaboration:
  1. Make decisions on basic projects, and research policies/solutions.
  2. Assist the Community Ambassador Manager and Director of Membership in preparing monthly and/or quarterly reports.
  3. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
  2. Previous recent experience in membership management, customer service and/or sales.
  3. Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of membership database programs is a plus.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  6. Proficiency in using various communication platforms.
  7. Knowledge of the gem and jewelry industry is desirable but not mandatory.
