Requirements of the COTA role:
Licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
CPR/BLS Certified
Must be willing to travel
Valid Drivers License and Auto insurance Coverage
Reliable transportation
Home health experience preferred
About the Occupational Therapist Assistant role:
Performs treatment visits, and communicates with the supervising therapist regarding patient progress.
Travel to a facility, or residential location to complete the patient evaluation.
Provides occupational therapy services to clients by assisting in assessment, treatment, program, planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication.

Complete subsequent follow-up visits.
Identifies indications for evaluations of clients at appropriate intervals under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
Conducts individual treatment, outlined in the treatment plan that includes, but is not limited to, areas of activities of daily living, functional mobility, range of motion, strength, coordination, cognitive/perceptual remediation, and functional maintenance.
Maintain a weekly caseload of 27-32 visits (full-time)
Utilize a universal electronic documentation system.
Maintains positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, supervisors, clients, family members, community personnel, and administration.
