JOB TITLE: Engineering Technician IV

LOCATION: Dover, NH

SUPPORTING: Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning & Procurement (SUBMEPP)

JOB CATEGORY: Full-Time Service Contract Act (SCA)

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

WORK MODEL: Patrona Corporation prioritizes the benefits of flexibility and collaboration, whether that happens in person or remotely. This is an onsite position, and you will work in-person from a Patrona or customer site.

COMPENSATION: This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position, and the hourly rate and health & welfare benefit is based on the applicable Wage Determination.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or accredited GED equivalent.
  • 4 years’ experience with shipboard maintenance and submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems.
  • Qualified as Submarine Warfare Specialist or Submarine Warfare Officer.
  • Experience operating submarine equipment and systems.
  • Qualified as a PQS Worker or Work Center Supervisor, Divisional, Departmental, or Ship’s 3M Coordinator under the Navy 3M System.
  • Experience with working within the Navy’s Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
  • Must be able to work shipboard for ship checks and procedure validations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop or revise quality PMS documentation per direction of the customer, based on fleet feedback, or other technical requirements utilizing operating manuals, drawings, technical manuals, equipment specifications, and configuration data.
  • Review and be familiar with technical submarine documentation such as Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), Technical Feedback Reports (TFBRs) and/or PMS Service Requests (PSRs), Maintenance Standards, Hull, Mechanical, And Electrical (HM&E) system drawings.
  • Conduct Reliability Centered maintenance (RCM) analysis on new and existing systems maintenance requirements to achieve the desired levels of safety, reliability, environmental soundness, and operational readiness at best cost.
  • Interface with the customer and various organizations on technical research and data support providing quality analysis of engineering documentation and provide technical feedback.
