Our busy, full-service automotive shop is hiring Master Level Technicians. We are looking for smart, coachable, and hardworking team members to service our customer’s cars. We offer a family-friendly atmosphere and great work culture. Our shop is open 5 days a week and closed on the weekends. Giving you the time to recharge and spend time with your loved ones, or pick up a new hobby.

Position Summary:

The Master Technician position requires extensive experience and technical expertise to diagnose electrical systems, drivability and air conditioning, and all other mechanical issues. An Oxford Automotive master technician is expected to use supportive mentoring skills and humble leadership abilities to lead a team of technicians to maintain customer satisfaction and trust in the Oxford Automotive Repair Shops. A Master technician will successfully communicate with all team members, including customers in all steps of the repair process. Oxford Automotive Master technicians are expected to deliver customer service that is second to none and possess the ability to educate our customers on the problems and solutions for their vehicles.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Diagnose and repair to specifications -- brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.  
  • Perform job duties of all lower job descriptions (Technician A, Technician B, Mechanic, General Service Technician)
  •   Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.  
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.  
  • Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
  •   Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
  •   Maintain an organized and neat shop
  •   Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

A Master Technician is a leadership position. Oxford Automotive expects our Master Technicians to maintain our humble culture, honor all voices, and work as valued team members. You must possess strong leadership abilities, and the ability to work diligently setting an example in your own work. In addition, you must also possess the following credentials: 

  • A High School Diploma or GED  
  • 5+ years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.  
  • 8 or more ASE certifications are PREFERRED for this position (A1 through A8)  
  • Section 609 Certification required
  •   State Inspection license if applicable  
  • High level of motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude
  •   Must have a valid driver's license
  •   Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
