DISPATCHER (for RTMC)

Lucent Group, Inc. (LGI) is seeking Dispatchers, (FT- 10p-6am) to support the Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) in Tampa, Florida.

The RTMC employs advanced Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) tools such as cameras and dynamic messaging signs to oversee roadway conditions and disseminate traveler information within Florida DOT D7. RTMC.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Dispatchers collaborate with partner agencies to facilitate swift responses to incidents and ensure expedited roadway clearance using audio and video surveillance. Working with cutting-edge technology including traffic signals, CCTV monitoring systems, and freeway management, Dispatchers play a crucial role in coordinating Road Rangers and managing express lanes, among other essential roadway functions. Utilizing specialized software tailored for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Dispatchers diligently monitor and manage traffic flow and incidents.

REQUIREMENTS FOR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Work hours:  10:00pm-06:00am
• Dispatch experience.
• 6 months experience with MS Office, databases, and other computer software
• Data entry and customer service experience
• Technical skills experience
• Surveillance and CCTV experience
• Transportation industry experience, preferred.
• Ability and interest to attend a minimum of a 4-week training session.
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
• Open to support shift rotation for weekdays, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to work in a team,
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

• Excellent verbal and computer skills
• Ability to take directions and follow detailed procedures.
• Pass a State Law Enforcement Background Check and required Drug Screen
