(This is only a full-time on-site position)

We are a professional fabrication shop that specializes in industrial, structural, and custom fabrication. The shop is a fast pace work environment always striving to complete our projects with precise detail and on time. We are expanding our detailing and design team and looking for someone that takes pride in their work. This is a fulltime position with the possibility of overtime depending on work load.

Ideal Candidate Will:

Show up to work on time everyday ready to perform the tasks at hand. Be honest, trustworthy, and manage time well. Be proficient with Solidworks 3d modeling, and be able to keep revisions, files, and project documents organized. Competency with designing structural steel, sheet metal, and the fabrication processes will be critical. This will require familiarity with engineering / design principles, AISC standards, and manufacturing constraints.

General skills needed:

  • 3d Modeling Software experience
  • Blueprint reading / generation
  • High computer / technology skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • General math skills
  • Reading a tape measure
  • Prior construction / mechanical experience a bonus
  • Familiarity with weld specifications and AWS symbols
  • Familiarity with AISC and AWS standards
  • Engineering background would be beneficial (optional)

This position will be reviewing design requirements, developing 3D models, generating erection and assembly prints, and generating machine operation files from 3d models.
