Dermatology Physician

The Dermatology Physician will be responsible for providing complete clinical care for all patients under the direction of the Medical Director and by written protocols. Dermatology Physician works in conjunction with the Medical Director in implementing and maintaining quality care programs.
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Chief Medical Officer
Dermatologist - diagnose and treat injuries or diseases relating to the skin, hair, and nails – including, but not limited to melanoma or other skin cancers, dermatological and/or cosmetic treatment (ie. Chemical peels, botox, etc.), performing procedures, MOHs, wound checks, etc. Examine patients; take medical histories; prescribe medications; and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. Counsel patients on hygiene, and preventive healthcare.
General job duties include:
· Performing procedures including, but not limited to botox, blue light treatment, punches, scrapes, etc.
· Document and update charts and patient information to show findings and treatments
· Order tests and consultations for other physicians or healthcare staff to perform
· Review test results to identify abnormal findings
· Recommend, design, and implement a short or long-term treatment plan
· Address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being
· Help patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper care and hygiene
· Management of services in accordance with established Clinic's policies/procedures and contracted service under CHDP, Managed Medical Care and other medical programs and guidelines
Required Education/Experience and or Licensure/Certifications
- Working knowledge of e-scripts
- Active California Medical License (M.D. or D.O.)
- Board Eligible/Certified
- Current BLS Certification
- CPR Card (Adult, Child and Infant)
- Medi-Care & Medi-Cal Provider
