$85,000 base + bonus

Responsibilities:
  • Hire subcontractors and verify that they have all the required permits
  • Log daily records of progress and repair updates for the project manager and homeowner
  • Analyze subcontractor productivity toward timelines and performance goals to ensure that the project is on schedule to be finished on budget and to the highest possible quality
  • Address the project's costs with clients to ensure that it remains within budget
  • Submit a plan for homeowners that includes a cost estimate for the job

  • Ability to read, understand, and implement Architectural, Structural engineering, and civil engineering plans
  • Monitor subcontractors and daily activities on the site ensuring strict adherence to plans and specifications
  • Complete field reports and update the project schedule as necessary
  • Maintain communication with the Project Manager on all issues pertaining to the plans
  • Follow the project schedule to meet completion dates
  • Understanding the scope of work and ensuring work is completed according to the contract
  • Understand, follow, and promote job site and company policies and procedures
  • Inspect work being performed on the project to ensure quality is being achieved
  • Follows safety regulations and procedures
  • Identifies and corrects safety violations
  • Ensures the site is kept clean, safe, and secure at all times
Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles
  • Current general contractor license
  • Superb organizational, leadership, time-management, and communication skills
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office software
  • At least 5 years of previous experience as a general contractor required, preferably with some additional managerial experience
