As a Wastewater Utility Worker, you'll primarily ensure that wastewater effluent standards are met through the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant, collection system, and pump stations. You'll do this by operating equipment, responding to emergencies, and supporting our goals to provide safe, reliable services. This role offers advancement opportunities based on experience, certifications, and proficiency. You'll be integral to maintaining and operating the City's wastewater systems, performing tasks from essential maintenance to skilled construction, including inspection, repair, and installation. The Wastewater Division is part of the Public Works Department, and the general working hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Hourly Pay Rate Ranges: (Placement at hire based on qualifications)
Wastewater Utility I: $25.99 - $31.59
Wastewater Utility II: $27.29 - $33.17
Wastewater Utility III: $30.08 - $36.57
Additional Salary Information: Effective July 1, 2025, these positions will receive a three-point-five (3.5%) cost-of-living adjustment (salary increase). Effective July 1, 2026, these positions will receive a cost-of-living adjustment (salary increase) of three-point-five (3.5%)
