VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE & ACCOUNTING

Our client has retained our firm to find a VP, Finance & Accounting to join their Senior Executive Leadership Team and be responsible for all Finance & Accounting operations. The person hired will drive efficiency improvements along the entire value chain based on a sound understanding of all business processes. The successful candidate will provide leadership and coordination of all company financial decisions, assure financial reporting accuracy, and will be the business partner for the CEO, President, and Vice Presidents for all strategic decisions of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE:

As VP, Finance & Accounting, you will report directly to the CEO, President and be a key member of the Senior Executive Leadership Team that will guide the strategic direction and growth of the company.

Lead, organize, and direct all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions including FP&A, Accounting, Reporting, and Analytics.

Manage, mentor, and train Accounting / Finance staff of 8 including Staff Accountant, Financial Analyst, AP, AR, Payroll, Billing, and clerical administration.

Own the monthly and annual close procedures / processes including preparation and review of financials, completion of reporting package submitted to management team and parent company, and full understanding of the company drivers / dashboard.

Continually seek process improvements including implementing controls and cost savings

Understand the companys financial health and communicate key insights to the Senior Leadership Team

Maintain Cash Forecast for company

Ensure all reconciliations are current and have a clear understanding of any discrepancies

Understand company performance identifying trends that may require action(s)

REQUIREMENTS FOR ROLE:

8+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience. Preference for candidates with manufacturing, construction, or service industry experience.

CPA, CMA, or Advanced degree a plus

Senior-level responsibility for accounting, finance, reporting, and analytics

Thorough knowledge of GAAP compliance; audit experience a plus

Strong multi-tasking skills; must manage Finance / Accounting teams responsibilities under strict deadlines

Solid Microsoft Suite skills including advanced to expert level Excel skills

Financial modeling experience a plus

Experience presenting financial results to executive leadership and non-financial stakeholders
