You can also use our sponsored marketing agreements to offer non-proprietary products to your clients, such as group health insurance. Enhance your wealth planning practice by becoming a Financial Advisor with our investment advisory affiliate Eagle Strategies LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor. As a New York Life Agent, you will also have access to the company’s Advanced Planning Group for large and complex case design and support for your clients.

How we will compensate you?

You have the power to drive your own income with our commission-based compensation. The average income of our more than 12,000 financial professionals who sold at least one life insurance policy in 2020 was $91,351. The average income of nearly 6,000 of our Registered Reps who sold at least one life insurance policy in 2020 was $134,369.


Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401k, and a pension.


Based on 2020 Company data. Actual income and compensation are not guaranteed and depend on a number of factors, including the individual sales results and contract type of each agent. The historical income figures shown above do not take into account authorized expenses that can reduce the compensation payments an agent receives.


Certain eligibility requirements apply. Monthly payments are determined by your earnings, years of service, age, and the form of payment you choose.

$108,000+ at plan

  • Our financial professionals help clients develop a long-term financial strategy to achieve their financial goals using an array of financial products and services, including life insurance, investments, annuities, and mutual funds
Qualifications:

As a financial professional with New York Life, you will be able to help those in your community plan for their financial futures. We’re looking for people who possess the following characteristics:

  • Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined with the ability to work effectively and independently
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to develop relationships (i.e., “People Person") and a sincere desire to help others
  • Fearless, positive attitude, and willingness to be accountable for results
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and excellent time-management skills

  • Good communicator—excellent listening skills and ability to explain complex information in a simple and concise manner
